The World Bank forecasts sub-Saharan African growth of 4.3% in 2026, up from 4.1% in 2025, in its October economic update.

The lender says affordable AI tools adapted to local needs offer opportunities in education, agriculture, health and business services. Reliable power, connectivity, skills and effective governance remain essential.
